With over two decades of experience spanning real estate development, infrastructure, and community empowerment, Kraus has built a reputation for integrating commercial success with sustainable development.
It is on the basis of these and more that she was honoured at IHICA, organised by Inspired to Lead Initiative (ILI) in collaboration with Inspiring Youths Africa Magazine.
A conference for women and the He4Shes, it was carefully designed to inspire courage to dare the odds, instill hope to persevere and reach deeply for strength, for the next phase.
As Chief Executive Officer of Smart City Development Group, Kraus leads initiatives focused on modern residential and commercial projects designed to foster sustainable urban communities. In parallel, she heads Alkebulan Trade Network Ltd, a multi-sector enterprise engaged in general contracting, renewable energy, civil works, and distribution services.
Beyond corporate leadership, Kraus has maintained a strong commitment to humanitarian causes. Through her organization, Next Gen Sustainable Solutions, which operates across Africa and the United States, she has spearheaded programmes targeting youth and widows, offering access to education, vocational training, and entrepreneurship support.
Her philanthropic efforts have included educational sponsorships, mentorship initiatives, and community development projects aimed at uplifting underserved populations.

IHICA 2026 brought together stakeholders from various sectors, including representatives from the offices of African First Ladies, members of the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum, and international organisations advocating for women’s rights and empowerment across the continent.
